First of all…Happy 2020!
It’s hard to believe we’re already a month into 2020 – I feel like time flies by so quickly in comparison to when you were younger!
2019 was probably the best year of my life – I went on so many city breaks, nights out, festivals and days out… but I’m certainly paying the price for it now! This month has been fairly quiet because payday feels 12934834 weeks away from December pay, but I’ve been getting some exciting plans in place for the rest of the year. 🙂
This month I celebrated my 24th birthday – and Billy surprised me with a weekend away to the Crazy Bear Hotel in Beaconsfield. I had the best weekend there and I’d definitely recommend going there if you’re looking for a fancy place to visit for the weekend.
This month I have also:
- Booked a holiday to Turkey for the week with Billy in June
- Booked tickets to see The 1975 in February
- Booked tickets to see Little Mix at BST in Hyde Park in July
…And tried to get a few other plans in the pipeline, too!
New Year’s Resolutions
I’m not really setting myself any New Year’s Resolutions this year because lets be honest… they don’t last! This year I just want to make a pledge to myself to be happy and healthy, and to get my finances in order and start saving up. I’m really happy with my life at the moment and Billy has brought a lot of happiness and love into my life these past 6 months <3 but there’s a few big things that I want to change in my life that I think will make me feel much more settled.
I do want to make a pledge to myself to blog more – but I just find it hard to sit down and write. The draft section on my blog is starting to stack up – I’ve got so many posts from last year that I really want to write and set live. In my full-time job, I’m a Copywriter in an SEO agency, so I’m sat at a computer 9-5, 5 days a week so sometimes the last thing I want to do is come home and sit on my laptop. This year however I want to get back into blogging and social media, and write and publish at least two blog posts a month that I have genuinely enjoyed writing.
I haven’t actually written a Month in Photos post since around May time….. which is shocking really considering how busy I was each month last year!! So when I’ve got some time, I’m definitely going to write them and back date them. I really enjoy writing them and think it’s nice to recap on the month with things that I got up to.
I’m looking forward to 2020 and seeing what the year has in store for me – February is going to be a busy one for me with Valentines Day, a night out in London and seeing The 1975. I’m looking forward to checking in again next month – here’s a pledge that Month in Photos is making a return to Hannatalks!
Do you have a New Year’s Resolutions for 2020?
Happy new year!
