May 2019: My Month in Photos

MAY 2019 my month in photos

May has been a busy month – full of blogging events, eating out and going on day trips.

It’s time for my May 2019 month in photos post – and here’s what I’ve been getting up to this month!

Braintree Discovery Centre

I spent a few hours at the Braintree Discovery Centre park with my sister; we grabbed a takeaway Costa and then went on a long walk around the park. There’s loads of swings, zip lines and climbing frames there too, so we had a good time being big kids!! I can’t wait to go back in the Summer for a picnic and to explore the grounds some more.

Dinner at The Angel

I went for dinner with my friend Chloe this month; we had a white wine each and shared dough sticks with dips, and then we ordered a dessert each… it was a warm Spring evening well spent!

Launch Night of Shake Shack at Lakeside

I went to the launch night of Shake Shack at Lakeside with my friend Jade. We enjoyed delicious chicken and beef burgers, cheesy fries and chocolate and salted caramel milkshakes. It’s a great new addition to Lakeside, and I look forward to visiting them again soon to try the garlic fries!

Breakfast at Acanteen

After boxing one weekend, we headed into town for some brunch and shopping. We went to Acanteen, which is a lovely little independent café serving up breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks every day. I ordered the chorizo and avocado eggs benedict and fruit smoothie which tasted great.

Day Trip to Rye

I’m making more of an effort to visit places in the UK, so Jade and I headed to Rye for a day trip. We caught an early train from London and then spent the day walking around the cobbled streets and visiting quaint little pubs and tea rooms. It’s a beautiful little town and well worth visiting for the day – I’ll be sharing the post soon on things to see and do there!

Day Trip to Cambridge

To celebrate my friends birthday we went to Cambridge for the day. Although the day didn’t end so well (for me), we had a good morning going punting and heading out for lunch. I’m looking forward to going again in the warmer weather with a picnic for a chilled day out.

In June, I’m off on a girly holiday to Zante, going to see Fleetwood Mac, celebrate my friends birthday and go for afternoon tea!

What are your plans for June? 🙂

Wow, your June already sounds jam-packed. I’ve got a boat trip and party for a mate’s 40th but that’s pretty much it so far. I’m hoping that the weather picks up this weekend though as I fancy a day of cocktail bar hopping in Leicester x
