January 2019: My Month in Photos

JANUARY 2019 MY MONTH IN PHOTOS

Happy 2019!

I love writing these kind of posts because you can reflect back on what you do each month. This month has been busy, with some highs and some lows, but I’ve mainly been planning for the year ahead.

I’ve got holidays and concerts coming up this year, and I’m looking forward to improving on myself this year, physically and mentally.

It’s time for my January 2019 edition of my month in photos post – here’s what I’ve been getting up to this month!

New Year’s Day walk at Mersea beach

It’s a tradition with my family that we go for a long walk on New Year’s Day. We normally go to Frinton but we fancied a change this year and went to Mersea instead; it’s a rockier beach and I certainly wouldn’t want to go in the water… but the rows and rows of cute pastel beach huts were lovely to look at.

Birthday dinner at Las Iguanas

I celebrated my 23rd birthday early January with a meal at Las Iguanas. We had haloumi, meatballs and fresh mango salads to start, coconut curries for mains and hot banana fritters for dessert. The cocktails at Las Iguanas are amazing too – especially the pornstar martinis!

The Temple Bar in Dublin

I went to Dublin for the weekend earlier in the month and had such a lovely time with my gals. It was quite literally a flying visit (we flew early Saturday morning and flew home Sunday early evening) but we managed to fit so much in; including a bus tour, shopping around Temple Bar, out for dinner and drinks in the evening and the Guinness factory the next day before flying home!

The best garlic bread

We went out for dinner in Temple Bar to an independent Italian restaurant called Luigi Malones. We had the most insaneeee garlic bread for starters (probs the best garlic bread I have EVER had!!). The garlic bread was drizzled in garlic oil and then served with garlic butter to dip the bread into – I was in garlic heaven!

A visit to the Guinness Factory

We went to the Guinness Factory while we were in Dublin, and had fun looking around the factory and museum. There’s lots to see here and we managed to spend a couple of hours checking out all the different levels, before heading up to the Gravity Bar for our free pint of Guinness.

An evening at Top Golf

I celebrated my birthday with work with a trip to Top Golf for an evening of drinks, nachos and golf! I’m not great at scoring many points but it’s still a fun evening.

Champagne brunch at the Gherkin

I went for a champagne brunch at the Gherkin with my bestie and had such a lovely morning. We had the best weather and the sun looked so pretty warming up the city, and the brunch was delicious too! Especially the smoked salmon on seeded bread.

Drinks at Sushi Samba

Sushi Samba is our new fav drinking spot for pretty views across London – and a lovely glass of wine in hand!

An evening at Dabber’s Bingo

I was invited to dabber’s Bingo launch night and had the best evening – playing bingo, karaoke, drinking delicious cocktails and eating delicious canapés. Keep your eyes peeled for a review coming up this month.

Sunday brunching

I came down with some kind of flu/cough bug the end of the month so I’ve spent the last week or so feeling sorry for myself – and I wished I had the fresh waffle with seasonal fruit delivered to cheer me up.

What have you been up to this month? 🙂

How fun was the Guinness factory?! I loved visiting it last year, especially when I got to pour my own pint! 😀

So much fun!! I really want to go to Dublin again soon, preferably in the sun so you can chill outside more!
