September: My Month In Photos

Did I say September was going to be more settled? And I’d be working less? Oops. September was packed with work, a blogging event, friends going away to uni, a trip to Somerset, a mammoth lingerie shop in Marks & Spencer, a trip to Thorpe Park and an afternoon filled with cocktails. PHEW.

1. An Evening With Dior at Intu Lakeside
At the beginning of the month I attended An Evening With Dior event at Intu Lakeside with Charlotte – withlovelottie – where we drank prosecco, ate macarons and got to trial Dior’s new Addict lipsticks. I had a lovely evening and met some super lovely people. The event was held in Lakeside’s personal stylist lounge, where they also offer free 3-hour consultations and a personal shopper experience which I am 100% going to try out ASAP!

2. A Trip To Five Guys
Five Guys burgers are *fairly* pricey but boy do they taste good. I went for the cheese and bacon burger, and added onions, gherkins and tomato sauce. OH SO DELICIOUS. Next time I’m there I really want to try out their shakes – please recommend a flavour if you’ve ever had them!

3. My Friend Alice Heading To University
I’ve been friends with Alice since primary school, so about 15 years, and this month she headed off to University. I’m going to miss her a lot but I’m also really proud of her for taking that leap and going. Alice I know you read my blog some times, *you’re a good egg*, so here’s a little shout out for you. And I’ll come visit you soon!

4. Costa Coffee
Need I say anymore? I’ve had a couple trips there this month and my go-to drink is always a soya caramel latte every time. I tried out the new Cornish salted caramel muffin and omg, so sickly but so good. It has a gooey caramel centre and a chunky piece of fudge on top.

5. Autumn Clothes
I’ve already started my A/W wardrobe and Primark has been my go-to place for transitional pieces. I picked up 3 soft long jumpers and 2 coats, all of which I can’t wait to wear! Come at me cold weather.

6. Afternoon Tea At Tiffany’s Edwardian Tearoom, Somerset
I had 2 weeks off work so I spent the majority of it in Somerset with my family. I treated my nan to Afternoon Tea at Tiffany’s Edwardian Tearoom in Weston-super-Mare which we both really enjoyed. Here’s a little shout out to my nan who reads my blog – hi Nanny!

7. Weston Sand Sculpture Festival, Weston-super-Mare
My nan and I went for a  walk down the beach after having Afternoon tea, and came across a sand sculpture festival. The festival is held once a year, and artists from across the globe come to Weston to carve sculptures out of… sand. I have a post scheduled for you guys to see it, and believe me, the sculptures are amazing! Here’s a little teaser of a section of the festival!

8. Brean Down, Somerest
Somerset is renowned for it’s rolling hills and beautiful countryside, so I really wanted to go out for a walk to explore it. We went to Brean Down for a 3-mile walk and the views were beautiful. We also stumbled across some derelict buildings dating back to the 1800’s… I’ll have a post up within the week on it!

9. Marks & Spencer’s Lingerie
I was recently fitted at M&S and treated myself to brand new matching underwear. I spent an absolute bomb on underwear, but thank god for the 20% discount! I picked up a couple sets from the Rosie Huntington-Whiteley range and omg, they are just so beautiful.

10. Lush Bubble Baths
Nothing says pampering like a Lush bubble bath. I tried out the Creamy Candy bubble bar that I picked up at the Lush Oxford Street flagship store; it’s a softer version of the Snow Fairy shower gel, and gives a lovely amount of bubbles.

11. Thorpe Park
On the way home from Somerset, Dad and I made a detour into Thorpe Park for the day. We both love the theme park and had a fab day out. We managed to get around the park and go on all the rides we wanted to in 4 hours – yay for kids being back at school and *most* people being back at work!

12. Cocktails At Slug And Lettuce
I had a SUPER stressful shift at work yesterday so I went out for cocktails with Nathan and Grace from work. (I didn’t realise they read my blog and they wanted to know why they were called ‘work colleagues’ and not by their names so… HI GRACE AND NATHAN). We have a new bar in town called Slug and Lettuce and it was cocktail happy hour sooooo… no questions needed.

I’ve not got much planned for October so I’m hoping some spontaneous plans will come into play.

And *HOPEFULLY* I’ll be able to get at least two posts a week out. C’mon Hannah.

Oh I love this post! I hope you don't mind if I do one similar? I'll mention you of course.
Your pictures made me very hungry, damn you. Five Guys – so expensive but SO GOOD! I've tried the Salted Caramel and Strawberry milkshakes and they're both incredible, definitely recommend.
I had no idea Costa did salted caramel muffins? This I gotta try!
Autumn approaching is always the perfect excuse to get a whole new wardrobe and you can't beat a good Lush bath.
    Wonderful post girly. xx

I`m addicted to Costa`s salted caramel muffin, it`s so damn good! And speaking of addictions, I need to check that burger place. What if they`re pricey?Life`s too short to count calories and money spent on food.

Thanks so much! 🙂 I've not done too badly have I?! Five Guys is amazing for a burger fix, they're just super juicy and delicious and filling. I don't get why people order chips with it because the burger is so worth it! And Slug and Lettuce is a really lovely spot, especially cocktail happy hour!! xxx
