Another instalment from my Clinique 20K Instagram giveaway which I was fortunate enough to win – this week it’s time to show you the All About Shadow Quads in Pink Chocolate. I very rarely wear eyeshadows as when I was younger, I tended to go for ones that were too light – borderline clown looky likey… but my makeup taste has matured.
Thank GOD. I love wearing nudes and shimmery colours on a day to day basis now and upping the glam come evening time with a sultry/dark look. I’d never tried any Clinique eye shadows prior to using this one, so I was looking forward to testing out its pigmentation and wearability!

This palette contains 4 shades: a light dusty pink, a soft matte brown, shimmery slightly darker pink and a deep matte brown. The shades can be worn alone or layered together in different combinations. There’s a super handy illustrated how-to in the form of a plastic overlay, which numbers the eyeshadows in a way that you can create an easy smokey eye look. The palette itself is compact, with a mirror on the inside of the lid and two sponge-tip applicators for on-the-go use. The staying power is fantastic, it stayed on for 12+ hours during a shift at work and meal afterwards – and that’s without a primer! So bravo, Clinique. For you have found the perfect formula!
I particularly love this look because of the matte brown I dusted on my lower eye-line. It’s a nice alternative to wearing eyeliner and I’ve found it less irritating on the eyes than a liner.
Pink Chocolate is 1 of 8 palettes in the quad family, all with creamy colours in every finish, from soft matte to super shimmer. The range also expands to singles and duo palettes. Next on my list? The Teddy Bear palette and the single shadow Lemongrass because I just have a thing for that colour lately!
Have you tried Clinique’s eyeshadows before?
