No7 Lipsticks; Blushing Tulip & Cranberry Kiss

No7 is certainly a brand that I have been loving a lot lately. I picked up (and reviewed) No7 hot cloth cleanser and No7 Stay Perfect foundation and was pleasantly surprised with how good they both were! I own next to no lipsticks, apart from the odd lip tint here and there, so I  thought it was time to add some colour to my makeup collection! In Boots, there’s a foundation and lipstick match made service, which is a super quick way to find out what foundation and lip colour would suit you. As I’d previously been matched to Callico in the foundation range, I was able to pick up a card with colours that suited that foundation shade. Blushing Tulip and Cranberry Kiss stood out to me the most. Both fairly pinky/peachy toned, but a little something to the usual red tones I am attracted to. Next step? To find the perfect nude/my-lips-but-better shade!

Blushing Tulip

Blushing Tulip is a Stay Perfect lipstick, which lasts up to six hours and leaves the lips nourished and hydrated throughout the day. The Stay Perfect range have a matte to semi-satin finish, with all shades in the range having an intense pigmentation. Blushing Tulip is the perfect peachy-spring shade that’s wearable for any occasion. I’ve been wearing this to work and to uni, which is a little out of my comfort for someone who is so used to just dabbing on some Vaseline! I like the tint it gives my lip and it also helps to freshen up my makeup. The Stay Perfect range all cost £9.95, or you can of course use Boots points to purchase. I picked this up whilst a 3 for 2 offer was on at No7, perfect for trying out new shades and products from No7! Because, lets face it, who doesn’t love Boots 3 for 2 infamous offers?!

Cranberry Kiss

Cranberry Kiss is a Moisture Drench lipstick, with a smooth and soft texture to leave the lips feeling nourished for hours. It’s also fragrance free and has SPF15 built in. All Moisture Drench lipsticks have an intense colour range with a semi to semi-satin finish. Cranberry Kiss is a lovely deep pinky-red shade, which at first I was worried was a little too dark for my skin tone, but it does work really well! I find this has really good staying-power. On one occasion, I drank cocktails, a pitcher, and ate a Chinese meal… and it was still there! I use this lipstick for evening time, I personally find it a little in-your-face for day wear. But that’s just me, as I’m used to not wearing lipstick at all! The Moisture Drench range all cost £9.95, a fraction of the price of many high-end lippys.

Are there any No7 products that you’d recommend?

These are both such pretty, feminine colours. I think my favourite is Cranberry Kiss because it's a bit of an unusual shade without being too "out there"! I definitely want to try the make up matching service in Boots – determined to find which shade of foundation and red lipstick will suit my peely-wally face most!
