Westfield haul!

I have a bad habit of feeling the need to save my money, so that when I really want to purchase something, i’d be able to buy it when I next go shopping. Truth is, I end up standing there questioning whether I truly NEED the item, hum and arr for about 5 mins, and end up putting it back onto the shelf or rack. Then when I’m home… I wonder why I didn’t pick it up!

So today, I decided to just go for it. Armed with my Christmas money and Birthday vouchers, I hit Westfields at Stratford with my friend. The main reason was to purchase a top for my birthday celebrations in London this weekend – except I didn’t exactly leave with one.

Warehouse – Jacquard tunic dress – £38

You can check the dress out here!

The majority of my wardrobe are fairly dark colours so this was a pleasant change – for me anyway! I love the baroque jacquard pattern at the moment and also have a pair of treggings in a similar pattern. The dress is fairly high necked and I love the slight stretch in the material for comfort – nice to not have a dress clinging to every lump and bump! Well worth the price and I will be wearing it for my birthday celebrations in London this weekend paired with high block heeled chelsea boots.

Warehouse – Clutch bag – Was £28 Now £8

You can check the bag out here!

I was just walking out of the shop when I spotted this bag in the corner of my eye… I was immediately drawn to the striking blue colour. Upon expecting, I was amazed by the sale price! It would have been silly NOT to buy it… right?!? It has 2 compartments and plenty of room – the only downside for me is the fact it doesn’t have zipped up compartments inside. However, the fastening clip on the outside is very secure. Chuffed with this purchase!

Topshop – Joni Super High Waisted Skinny £36.00

Similar pair here!

My trusty pair of Riverisland skinny high waisted jeans failed on me last week:( They broke apart on the leg – gutted as they were my comfort pair and I’m a lover of sticking to jeans I feel good in! I’ve tried previous retailers such as New Look, Primark and Dorothy Perkins so  I thought it was about time to give Topshop a go. I’ve opted for these ones as I prefer high waisted and dark colours, they felt comfortable when I tried them on so I’m looking forward to wearing them!

Topshop – Stage Dive & AWOL – 2 for £9

Check out Stage Dive here!

Check out AWOL here!

I’m a sucker for buying things at the till and noticed that they had nail varnishes 2 for £9 on display. I haven’t bought any new nail varnishes lately and I’m a lover of Topshops as their colours have bright tones and unusual shades. These 2 stood out for me and I’m looking forward to wearing the Stage Dive come spring time!

Boots – Ecotools – £11.99

I’ve been looking out for a set of make up brushes lately as I’ve bought a wider variety of skin products and don’t want to use the same brushes. I initially looked at the Real Techniques brushes as people seem to rant and rave about them, but I found them too pricey as a beginner. I like the variety of the set and the brushes are so unbelievably soft – can’t wait to use them!

Boots – Rimmel Stay Matte – £3.99

I’ve noticed this product on so many beauty blogs so I decided to give it a go myself, and at only £3.99 it’s a steal! I have this in Silky Beige and it feels so light to touch. I’m looking forward to applying this after my make up! The ’12 hour no shine’ part seems a bit optimistic – as with other usual claims by cosmetic companies – but will definitely be putting it to the test!

Boots – Maybelline Brow Drama – £4.99

I’ve also noticed this product splashed about in the beauty blogger network and have decided to try it out. The Maybelline Brow Drama was a product i’ve had my eye on for a while and i’ve always contemplated whether or not to try it. If i’m honest, the most off putting factor was the brush! I’m going to experiment with it and hopefully it’ll look more natural; it’ll be a nice alternative to using an eyebrow pencil every day!

Boots – Revlon Colourburst lip butter in Creme Brulee-

Originally £7.99 each, promotional offer 2 for £5

I’m a big fan of using lip tints lately as they are so durable and seem to last for hours, the colours are so intense and I love that. I’ve decided to give the lip butter a try and I chose the shade Creme Brulee as it’s fairly neutral with just a hint of a peachy shimmer. It felt really silky in comparison to the others that I sampled on the back of my hand so it was an obvious choice. Having tried it on briefly, there isn’t a dramatic colour change as I thought but it’s so smooth on the lips and leaves a lovely sheer over the lips. Love this!

So all in all, a pretty good haul for me!

Do you have a similar habit to mine? Anything you’ve been contemplating purchasing but still haven’t managed to?! Would love to hear from you!

Hannah
