#nextbeauty event | Covent Garden

Next kindly invited me along to their #nextbeauty event at the Ice Tank in Covent Garden last week to browse their current and upcoming makeup range, and to watch Lydia Millen do live makeup tutorials…

I met up with the super lovely Emma and Laura to travel to the event and spent the event with them – they’re such lovely ladies!

The evening kicked off with canapés and cocktails, so with a cocktail in hand, I perused Next’s beauty collection named Make Me Beautiful. The range is extensive, with eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, blushers, lip glosses, nail varnishes and makeup brushes. As well as the existing perfumes, makeup bags and accessories.

There was also a beauty parlour downstairs, where you could have your eyebrows threaded, makeup done or nails done. I was too busy chatting and taking photos to take advantage of these treatments, but I saw a couple ladies nails that looked super lovely.

Lydia, – who is so flipping beautiful in person, with or without makeup! – held two tutorials in the evening, including a day and night one. Lydia used all of Next’s beauty products, and my favourites she used has to be the Highlighting Chubby Stick and the Simply Peach lipstick. Lydia did incredibly well to put her makeup on in front of a crowded room AND being projected onto a massive wall – but she did super well!

I love the way that the showroom was arranged, it was super instagramable. All the products were arranged on podiums around the room, so we could have a little play and test them out. I particularly loved the lipstick display, and the way they’d “broken down” the blusher palettes to show the pigmentation and shades.

I’m particularly looking forward to seeing what the skin care products are like. I can’t wait until they launch! Thank you Next for the super generous goody bag, too. The candle smells absolutely amazing!

Met these absolute babes tonight 💜💜💜💜💜 #NextBeauty #bbloggers

This looks like it was a fantastic event! I'm allergic to one of the ingredients in the Clinique chubby stick highlighter, as well as the No.7 & Collection options so will definitely be checking this one out as it looks like a great application method & the shade is really pretty. Xx
