The BakeHouse Chelmsford Chocolate Camper & Firepit Evening

With everything feeling a little up in air at the moment, I wanted to take as much advantage of the Tier 2 rules in Essex right now, so I booked an evening at the Bakehouse in Chelmsford with my bestfriend Chloe for an evening of delicious food, hot chocolates and toasting s’mores!

Bakehouse Coffee Shop

Bakehouse is a lovely little traditional countryfarm tearoom, serving up breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, coffee and cakes!

Throughout December, they are holding a Chocolate Camper & Firepit Evening. The courtyard has a stunning decorated Christmas tree, firepits and outdoor heaters and plenty of seating. There’s also a campervan serving up hot chocolates (boozy ones too!) and an array of sweet treats. There’s lots of seating further round the back of the teamroom too, again with plenty of outdoor heaters and burners to keep you warm. There’s even complementary blankets to help keep the chill off you.

For dinner, we ordered baked mozzerella for starters to share, and then we each ordered the pulled pork wrap from the Light Bite menu – the portions were really generous and so filling.

We tried one of their hot chocolates too, which was served in a cute little tin cup with whipped cream and a snowman on top made out of marshmallows.

There was also complementary s’mores to toast around the firepit too which was a lovely touch!

It was so nice to get out and do something nice and festive – and I’ve booked twice more to go and visit again because it was so much fun there! Slots are limited but you can book tickets via their website.

What are you doing this year to get in the festive mood? 🎅🏼
