The spending money was gifted by Hotels.com, but all views are my own.
As the trendy and historic hub of London’s fancy Southwark borough, you’ll never be short of things to see and do in Tower Bridge.
There are plenty of great hotels in London Bridge, such as CitizenM or Hilton, both of which offer a comfortable and stylish place to chill out and use as a base for exploring this exciting part of London!
If you’re looking for somewhere with stunning views, delicious food and exciting history, then Tower Bridge is the next part of London that you need to explore!
Stunning views of Tower Bridge
Tower Bridge is one of London’s most famous bridges and is a must-see landmark for those visiting the City. Tower Bridge can be reached by a short walk from London Bridge station. The bridge was built between 1886 and 1894 and is an iconic attraction to check out. The bridge looks great from both sides of the water – so it’s time to get snap-happy with the bridge!
Have lunch at Coppa Club
Coppa Club is a cool restaurant and bar, perched on the edge of the Thames. Renowned for their quirky bookable outdoor pods – which has a Surfer Shack theme for the Summer and Igloos for the Winter! – Coppa Club serve up European food, including brunch, small plates, burger, pizzas and healthy salads.
We ate lunch here and order bacon pancakes, berry pancakes, a double beef burger and a side of skinny fries and garlic bread. The food is great here at the fresh juices are so delicious as well!
Tower Bridge Experience
Admire Tower Bridge inside and outside with the Tower Bridge experience. You can pay to walk across the bridge for beautiful views over the Thames and you can point out other popular attractions including the Shard, the Gherkin and the Tower of London.
Tickets start from as little as ยฃ4 and from the top of the bridge you can take in breathtaking views. There’s even a glass floor to walk across if you’re feeling a little dare-devily!
Eat your way around Borough Market
Borough Market is London’s most renowned food and drink market – dating back to at least the 12th century! You’ll find hundreds of market traders here, selling everything from fresh fish, cheese and artisan chocolate to handpicked wines, bakeries and street food. Alongside delicious food, you’ll also find a variety of stalls that sell homeware, accessories and hair and beauty products.
Head up to the top floor of The Shard
The Shard is one of the tallest buildings in the UK – so it’s only fair that you take a visit here to check out the stunning panoramic views across the City from the top floor! It’s a distinctive building with it’s sharp and shard-like structure, with a number of bars and restaurants dotted on the top levels. They also hold events and entertainment nights here – I’ve been to the Silent Disco at The Shard which was the most amazing night dancing the night away to the stunning glistening London skyline at night.
Eat tasty sweet treats at Eat By Chloe
After all that walking around, you’re sure to want a sit down and a refreshing drink and sweet treat! Eat By Chloe is vegan cafe serving up delicious dishes made from locally-sourced ingredients. We tried out their refreshing iced tea, seasonal lemonade and various sweet treats including the tiramisu cupcake which was deliciously sweet!
There are so many exciting things to do in London and Tower Bridge is certainly a location worth checking out for great food, drinks and views!
Have you been to Tower Bridge before? What do you like doing there?
