I love finding fun things to do in London, so I was pleased to hear zoo nights at ZSL London had made a return this year!
I went to the ZSL London Sunset Safari in 2016 with my friends from University, and it was a fun evening β we saw lots of animals around the Zoo, got our faces painted and snapped the memories up in the London cab photo booth! It was good fun, so I went there this year on the opening night with James to see how it would compare.
We checked out the street food stalls first, where James and I both had a hot dog each and we shared some spicy cajun fries. The hot dog was around Β£7 and the fries were Β£5 – so a fairly pricey “snack” but it was nice to have something different.
Feeling comfortably full, we set about exploring the zoo, seeing the penguins, birds, lions, porcupines, giraffes and lemurs. There’s so much to do here in the space of 4 hours, so we had fun exploring in the warm summer evening.
Here’s a snippet of our favourite animals at the Zoo!
Zoo Nights at ZSL London
Zoo nights at ZSL London will run every Friday between 1st-29th June from 6.00pm to 10:00pm with everyone over the age of 18 invited to experience the magic of the Zoo after-hours.
There are thousands of animals to see on the evening, various feeds taking place and lots of events to get involved in. Alongside the street food stalls and pop up bars, there’s an entertainment section lit up with fairy lights with more bars, relaxing music, animal lanterns, entertainment and relaxing bean bags to chill out on.
Tickets cost Β£18.50 each and the event runs every Friday in June.
So if you’re looking for something fun to do in London, I’d recommend a trip to ZSL London Zoo!
Oh so gutted I won’t be able to get to London in time for this – it looks incredible! xx

What a lovely way to spend an evening. I’ve been curious about this since you mentioned it in the monthly roundup. It’s a lovely event, the Zoo seems a bit different at night.

This looks like SO much fun! I remember they were doing these a few years back but then they stopped it and I was so sad as I never had a chance to go. Hopefully I’ll make it this year! xx

I never knew they did these, what a great idea! I haven’t been to London Zoo in years, perhaps I’ll need to hop on a train and pay it a visit!

This looks such an amazing evening. Iβve not been to London Zoo in years as was last there when I was a child. Even when I lived in London I never went, wish I had now. Itβs such a different way to spend an evening π
