I was invited along to the Kingsford Park Spa in Colchester for a VIP evening to check out the recent refurbishment of the Bannatyne Spa.
The Spa underwent a recent £1 million refurbishment to install the latest luxurious relaxation rooms and wellbeing spa treatments.
The six-figure investment allows Kingsford Park Spa to offer new and updated facilities, including treatment rooms to cater group bookings of up to six, a Rasul Room for mud therapy treatments and VIP Elemis 1st class treatment suites for the ultimate spa experience.
The Bannatyne Group have teamed up with Elemis to provide luxurious treatments for both men and women, including an extensive range of full body, facial and specialist treatment rituals.
I attended the event with my friend Chloe, and the evening started with a glass of champagne and a quick obligatory photo! Daryl Johnson, General Manager of Kingsford Park Spa, took us for a walk around the facilities, new treatment rooms and filled us in with all the great exclusive discounts and deals to take advantage of on the night.
We headed to the Elemis retail shop first of all, to browse the products and learn more about them. Chloe tried out the Elemis Skin Analysis treatment to try out the Skinlab face-mapping treatment. The scanner examined the layers of Chloe’s skin to inform her on how to improve the condition. It showed where the dry patches were, the oily patches, the texture of the skin and the level of sun damage to the skin. After the consultation, a plan is put together with all of the products to use to help improve the skins condition. After trying the products for 4-6 weeks, you then return for another Skin Analysis – hopefully showing a great improvement!
After Chloe had her complimentary skin treatment, we headed to one of the newly refurbished nail bars, where I had an OPI gel manicure.
I had a super lovely beautician called Laura, who was SO funny and SO chatty – so hiya if you happen to find my blog! After have my nails buffed and my nail varnish removed, it became apparent just how bad a condition my nails were in… they were super dry, so Laura gave me a list of OPI products to try to help save my nails, so I’m looking forward to getting my nails in tip top condition. Despite this, Laura gave me a lovely set of gel nails in the shade My Chihuahua Bites! by OPI – a beautiful bright orange-red shade with a creme finish.
Nails feeling swish, we decided to check out all the new spa facilities and rooms!
A deluxe treatment room has been built, with room for up to six people, making it the perfect space for a hen do or spa party. A Rasul Room has also been created with a shower, where you can have the treatment and relax all in the same room. There is also a dark room with heated stone beds, and another relaxation room with heated water beds. Chloe and I sat on them both and they were so warm, we could have definitely had a little nap!
Kingsford Spa have also invested thousands into creating the Loft, an exclusive secluded Elemis area with smoothies on arrival, lunch, health club & spa access and 2 luxurious treatments.
£250,000 has also been invested in the gym facilities, which is no kitted out with the latest state-of-the-art, hi-tech equipment. And of course, a little love went into the health club too, to provide facilities for members and guests to use, including a sauna and swimming facilities.
I had a fantastic evening at the Kingsford Park Spa VIP evening, and I can’t wait to return to try out their beauty treatments and facilities!
