October has been much kinder to me, AND I’ve been more snap happy – yay! I’ve been to a blogging event this month and done much more with my time off…
1. Lush Halloween 2016: My Pick Of The Bunch
I picked out a few Halloween bath bombs at the beginning of the month at the Lush at Stratford Westfield. I’ve only gotten round to trying Monsters Ball but it was a lovely little bath bomb to use!
2. Pandora Holiday Bracelet
I bought my pandora bracelet and palm tree charm when I was in Tenerife, so now I’ve turned this little woven Pandora bracelet into a travelling one! The ice cream charm is from Brighton, so it’s there to remind me of the super lovely trip I had there with James last month!
3. Dads 50th Birthday
It was Dads 50th birthday this month so alongside the little gifts we got him, we all went for a sit down Chinese meal which was bloody de-lish!
4. Starting A New Job
I quit my full time retail job and started my apprenticeship this month! I’ve been there for just over 2 weeks now and I really like it. It’s a digital marketing apprenticeship so the role is quite varied, but so far I’ve been writing blogs for clients and articles for websites! I’m really enjoying it so far so fingers crossed it blossoms into a career choice!
5. Sunrises
The only ++++ to getting my first bus to work at 7.30AM is seeing the beaut sunrises! There have been some particularly lovely ones, with deep orange and red skies.
6. Lush Halloween Monsters Ball
This is the first bath bomb I’ve used from the limited edition Halloween range, and I’ve absolutely loved using it!
7. Byron Burger
Byron Burger has just opened in Chelmsford so I caught up with my friend Alice over a lovely dinner there! As I’ve just started a diet – cutting the crap out basically – I went for the skinny smoky burger with courgette fries. The courgette fries were amazing, I 100% want to re-create them at home!
8. Bunting Parties Halloween Party Bundle
Bunting Parties kindly sent me a hand made Halloween party bundle, which was super sweet to open! It’s perfect if you’re not very DIY with party decorations, plus they make a variety of other boxes for different occasions so I would definitely recommend checking them out!
9. Chop Bloc Bloggers Event
I went to the most amazing event at Chop Bloc in Chelmsford this week and omg, SO MUCH FOOD. My post will be live on it this week but honestly, it was the best steak I have EVER tried! And I love my steak!
10. Las Iguanas Cocktails
I caught up with my friend Jade at Westfield Stratford Friday night. We were super excited to go TGIF for some cocktails but for some reason they were closed. So, we looked around and decided to try out Las Iguanas, somewhere neither of us have been to before! Jade had fajitas and I had grilled chicken in coconut with rice and greens – so delish! We made our way through 4 cocktails and even managed to squeeze in some churros.
11. Gods Own Junkyard
I read a girls blog post this month on Gods Own Junkyard, (can’t remember her blog at all but if you’re reading this now… let me know and I’ll link you!) and noticed it was in Walthamstow in East London which is super close to where my boyfriend lives, so we took a trip over there Saturday afternoon. I’ve got some really good photos of all the neon lights – can’t wait to show you all!
12. Pumpkin Carving
James bought the biggest pumpkins on Saturday and we spent the afternoon carving them. We finished up with some home made hot dogs and stuck a film on. I could get used to these weekends to myself!
What have you been up to this month?
