December: My Month In Photos

Goodbye December, and *very nearly* 2015! Boy am I glad to soon see the back of you. This month I’ve worked for less than 2 weeks, went to jury service for a week and a half, and squeezed in a few outings!

1. No7 Beauty Wonders Advent Calendar

I treated myself to the No7 Advent Calendar this year and I absolutely loved it! Each day I was pleasantly surprised by the gifts, and they’re all samples I’m looking forward to trying. I love the fact there’s some full size products and accessories in there too for good measure. The only down side was the packaging… but I might write that in another post!

2. Blossoming Gifts Christmas Cheer Bouquet

Blossoming Gifts kindly sent me a bouquet of flowers called Christmas Cheer and they looked, and smelt, so beautiful! There’s a 33% discount code on the page if you’d like to treat yourself to a bouquet!

3. Essex Bloggers Lush Event

Gem kindly organised an Essex Bloggers Lush event where we got to make our own bubble bars and explore the exclusive christmas range and gifts.

4. Christmas Costa Range & Local Musicals

I’ve pretty much lived in Costa this month, so I will thoroughly miss the Christmas drink range when it goes in January. Also, for anyone who has tried them, how flipping good are the Billionaire’s Tarts?! They will be sorely missed. I also watched a musical at my local theatre which I thoroughly enjoyed. Next year I’d love to watch a couple more local productions.

5. Peeping Santa Bubble Bar

I had a couple indulgent baths this month, and I used Peeping Santa – all at once – which smelt and looked amazing. The bath was a gorgeous deep red colour and smell was so soft and fruity. I’ll miss this one!

6. Winterwonderland in London

I went to Winterwonderland for the evening – we probably picked the wrong day as it was torrential rain the entire time – but I thoroughly enjoyed it. We trecked for what felt like hours to find a macaroni stand… and when we found it, it did not disappoint!

7. No7 Moisture Drench & Stay Perfect Lipsticks

I own 6 now and I flipping love them all. I have 3 from the Moisture Drench range and 3 from the Stay Perfect range. I’m considering a blog post on them… they’re my favourite lipsticks as the price is fab, and the colours are amazing too.

8. Father Christmas Bath Bomb

I received Lush products for my secret santa this year, one of them being Father Christmas. I was thoroughly impressed by this one – for one I didn’t realise it had the scent of Snow Fairy and secondly, the bath turned a gorgeous green colour! I’m so used to buying girly pink ones, so it’s nice to have a change.

9. Christmas Jumper Day at Work

The only thing to get me in a slight Christmassy mood this year was wearing festive jumpers to work! We went out to Spoons Christmas Eve for drinks aaaaand it was an eventful afternoon/evening. I wouldn’t recommend wray & nephews. 83% shot. Say no more.

10. Christmas Day at Miller and Carter

This year we went out for Christmas dinner Christmas Day at Miller and Carter. There were five courses. For starter I had lobster and avocado salad, then a champagne sorbet, then a roast dinner for mains, lemon tart for dessert and then tea, truffles and mince pies… phew! It was nice to chill out for the day and be super duper lazy.

11. Boxing Day Sales

I hit the sales with my friend at 8am before we had work. I picked up a couple of Marc Jacobs perfume sets, No7 sets from Boots and jeans and a purse from Riverisland. We polished the shopping off with a good ol’ McDonalds breakfast. Work wasn’t busy at all, and the double pay kept us going!

12. Nando’s and Daddy’s Home at the Odeon

I haven’t been to Nando’s in years but on a girly day out, my friend and I went for the boneless sharing platter which was SO good! After a quick dash to Wilkos for pick n’ mix, we headed to Odeon to watch Daddy’s Home. The film has some funny bits but it felt like it lacked a proper story. Before I forget… HOW FLIPPING EXPENSIVE ARE CINEMA TICKETS NOW. Gah.

So… that wraps up the last 2015 post! Here’s to 2016…

I was tempted to get the No7 advent calendar but wasn't sure if I'd use all the stuff in it, but everyone raved about it being good.

I really didn't feel the Christmas cheer either this year, felt quite a shame, I wish the Christmas jumper day at work made me feel as Christmassy as it did you, my team didn't really put in the effort. Saying that, I shamefully don't own a Christmas jumper so I didn't either!

I've still yet to really hit the sales, I bought a cute dress in Topshop but that was about all I could manage to grab in the madness of it all haha!

Love seeing your December summed up in photos, looks great! I also love your blog 🙂

Hello Issy, thanks for your lovely comment!
I was a bit worried too but honestly I loved everything that was inside 🙂 I love the fact they mixed full size and sample products too.
I hope we can feel a bit more christmassy this year! The tackier the christmas jumper the better, haha.
I just picked up loads of perfume gift sets as I'm running low! I'm sure you'll find some good bits and pieces when you least expect it 🙂
      Thank you so much! xxx
