Lush Oxford Street FUN What A Softy

Back in May I popped into Lush Oxford Street days after it had open, to explore the new flagship store and see what limited edition products I could get my hands on. I’ve written a full post here about what I bought at Lush Oxford Street if you’d like to see what I bought!

One of the products I picked up was a brand new FUN bar called What A Softy. What A Softy is a brand new product to Lush and has sickly sweet caramel scent. FUN bars are renowned for their multiple uses, such as: a body and hair wash, bubble bath, shower gel and even a product to wash your clothes with!

Admittedly, I was first attracted to the bar by the look of it – it’s gold AND glittery, how could I resist?! – and the smell came second. It has a really deep caramel smell which I love; reminds me of caramel lattes from Costa! I’ve never used a FUN bar before but I was really looking forward to seeing what it was like. The texture is hard to describe, it’s like a softer and nicer version of playdoh. It’s easy to break up and chose the amount you’d like to use, and it’s also easy to mould back into the original bar. For my bath, I used around 1/4 of a bar and it produced a nice amount of bubbles. It also turned the bath water a lime type colour and smelt of caramel still, but a lot less prominent. My skin felt super soft afterwards too which I loved, and the scent lingered around for that little bit longer.

FUN bars are infamous for their uses, and I decided to try one: making this… shark. Little disclaimer here, I did actually do Art at GCSE level and if my teacher ever saw this I think she’d want the ground to swallow her up – how on earth did I get an A in my GCSEs in Art. It looks like a mix between a snake/goldfish kind of thing… but it was fun to mess about with it. I know you’re all jealous of my Art skills…

Have you tried any Lush FUN bars?

Those look so fun to play around with! That color is so pretty haha, I think I'd buy it just for that. Although, using it to wash clothes sounds like such a great idea, you wouldn't even have to spend more money on perfume, bc you'd already smell so good!

I'm currently using my snowman one of these and love it! It smells similar (if not identical) to Snow Fairy and I'm so happy. I do feel like they are a novelty rather than serious shower gel but I love it. Caramel smell sounds lovely.

I have always been intrigued with the Funs that Lush offer but haven't got round to buying one. I love the smell of this too, I can imagine that it is so moisturising as well 🙂 xx
