One beauty faux par I have encountered lately is the fact that I do not moisturise. At all. I have a regular cleansing routine, but never put anything back into my skin. I recently went to Boots and was greeted with a sheer look of horror from the No7 assistant when I told her I don’t even own a moisturiser.
As I have combination/oily skin and dry patches, I always worried that a moisturiser would make my skin feel heavy and greasy – the last thing I need when I want my skin to stay feeling fresh and airy.
The assistant introduced me to the Early Defence range; a brand new range of products aimed at women aged 20-35 to help skin look younger for longer.
After perusing the different day and night creams, I finally chose the Early Defence Day Cream. This particular cream is said to protect against environmental stresses such as pollution, the main cause of break outs didn’t you know? The cream is very light and smells refreshing, much like their Hot Cloth cleanser. It also contains SP15 to protect your skin during the sunnier months.
Statistics state that during trials, more than 80% of women said that their skin was ‘more radiant after 2 weeks’. And I for one can vouch for that!
Since using the moisturiser, my skin has felt softer and smoother. In the evening, I use Clinique’s Take The Day Off Balm to wipe away my makeup and follow it up with No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser.
I then take a pea size amount of the moisturiser and work it into my face in a circular motion. It absorbs into the skin really well and my skin doesn’t feel clogged up or all ‘icky. In the mornings, I splash my face with cold water and apply a little moisturiser into any patches that look particularly dry.
It works really well under my foundation as well, double thumbs up!
I’d like to try out the night cream next. What would you recommend from the No7 range?
I love N7 stuff too and I really need to check this out 🙂

I have oily skin myself and was on the look out for a light moisturiser so really keen to try this out! Thanks for sharing :)Gabby xo Blog – What She Buys / Instagram / Twitter
I can't believe that you weren't using moisturizer! Moisturizing keeps oily skin from being too oily. It sounds kind of counter-intuitive but it's true!

I only started using moisturizer recently as well, it's pretty mortifying. This sounds like such an amazing product!

Using a moisturiser is essential even if you have oily skin, glad to hear you are liking the new change. Not sure if this would be enough for my dehydrated skin but I definitely need to check out their dry skin range x
Beauty with charm
I've heard of this range but didn't know that it's aimed for people my age, I've been looking for a sort of anti wrinkle cream but without breaking the bank – it's so difficult! This sounds perfect, and I even have No7 voucher too!
