REVIEW: LUSH Cosmetic Warrior face mask

Cosmetic Warrior fresh face mask – £6.25

A girly trip into town isn’t complete without a trip into Lush, well, for me any who. I’m always perusing through their fresh face masks and I’ve only ever tried one a few years ago which was a novelty blueberry one. After a couple of severe breakouts, I took to the blogging community to find out high-street remedies and this face mask was highly recommended.

Cosmetic Warrior is one of Lush’s most popular face masks for those suffering with troublesome spots, redness and general breaking outs. The fresh face mask contains fresh garlic, green grapes, honey, tea-tree oil and eggs; as well as natural fresh ingredients. The assistant recommended applying the face mask 3 times a week as the product has a shelf life of around 2-3 weeks. I was pretty sceptical about the mask at first but I am blown away with it. I’ve been using it to dot on spots and blemishes and within it being washed off after 10 minutes, the redness is reduced massively and dries the spots out.

LUSH is renowned for slightly overpowering scents but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. There was a slight waft of garlic once I washed the mask off – I was slightly concerned  as you can imagine – but there wasn’t a lingering smell of it at all. I could smell tea-tree oil which is a comforting factor as that oil alone is renowned for its healing and soothing properties.

I love using this face mask and would 100% recommend it to those suffering with problematic skin. It’s a quick fix too. I’ve bought gel spot “zappers” in the past for fairly steep prices and they don’t work as well as this nifty little pot of goodness. Nothing, absolutely nothing, clears up my fussy redness and spot prone skin as well as this. After only a week I am mega impressed and I will definitely be repurchasing this bad boy again.

On the whole, I love the difference it’s made to my skin so far and it’s not too harsh to be used every day; my skin is looking clearer, brighter and fresher. This is a permanent addition to my ever growing LUSH collection and I would seriously recommend giving it a go.

What LUSH products would you give a mahoosive thumbs up to?

I was about to ask for a sample for this one but I got the Mask of Magnamity instead. If this is good, I may give it a try in case mine doesn't work xxx

This sounds great! I recently used Catastrophe Cosmetic face mask from Lush, which was nice and definitely made my skin feel softer 🙂 I may go for this one when my current pot runs out!
