I think it’s that time of year where everything feels a bit… glum. I have times where I feel like utter crap and to be fair – this British weather really doesn’t help! I had a part time Christmas job, but as with plenty of other people out there, I wasn’t kept on. Knowing you don’t have an income makes you stress about the lack of money in your account, how to maintain some sort of “social life” and in my case, forking out so much on driving lessons! Ahhh. I know plenty of people are in this position, it’s just a horrid feeling.
I don’t know about you, but I didn’t make a NY resolution this year (I am hopeless at sticking to them!!) so I just let the month ride out and found myself self indulging and being lazy. So to perk myself up a bit, I’ve decided to set a goal for myself. I’m getting back into eating healthier and going to the gym and attending classes – hard to drag myself out in this cold weather.. *shivers*.
Over the years I’ve struggled with being able to keep the weight off I have lost and yo-yoed up and down the scales, so a good incentive was to have an achievable goal. I have signed up to the Race For Life with a friend and have set about creating an exercise plan based around an agenda on the site. I’m really looking forward to it and I’d definitely encourage others to sign up – a fun way of raising money and all for a good cause 🙂 Thinking about blogging my progress on a weekly basis, it’ll be therapeutic and good to record what I do. What do you think?
Not all of us are blessed with such a figure – yet!! – we can still look good while we try. I’ve come up with a shortlist of items that I’d love to be seen in; Forever21 have an affordable gym range which is both sporty and stylish – Perfect combo ladies!
Here’s a quick embarrassing photo for you!
I had to renew my passport and I came across these golden photos. The first was when I was 14 years old and first experiencing that tragic heavy side fringe. The age where I also constantly straightened my hair; not leaving a single strand untouched. The second was sadly not even that long ago… I was 16 and needed a photograph for my bus pass. This was the age where I wanted to be blonde and my poor hair had bleached blonde highlights which ruined it’s condition. I kinda miss being blonde though, sigh. And the third was me last year, so less than a year old. Back to being a brunette and my skin is some what alarmingly brown. Is it the art of foundation? I no longer fake tan and I haven’t been abroad for 6 years… loving the healthy glow either way! You can check out my instagram here and maybe a cheeky follow, I’d loved to check out your instagrams!
This has been a somewhat weird rambling post… But I feel better for getting it off my chest – having it out there in the blogosphere haha. Mid-week ladies, not long left till the weekend!

The forever21 gym range looks so nice, never thought of looking in there before, and so much better quality than Primark! x http://justlittlelucy.blogspot.co.uk

I love the quote image at the top – I think sometimes it is easy to focus on the future so much that you forget to enjoy the day-to-day. I have been feeling really glum too lately – the dark weather is getting to me and I also have the cold, boo! Good luck with the Race for Life – what a wonderful way to keep fit and stay positive.

p.s. I have nominated you for a Liebster Award! You can read all about it in my latest post: http://tartanmouth.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/get-to-know-me.html Let me know if you answer the questions because I'd love to read your post.
Honest post, I like those the best! Race For Life sounds like a great plan. My Cousin recently ran for charity as her mum (my auntie) was diagnosed with breast cancer before xmas and I wish I could have ran with her! Good luck with it and sorry for your recent family passing. My Granddad has cancer and was taken into hospital Christmas Day. Boxing Day which was normally a time to see my Dad was spent at the hospital instead so we never did do our annual games, wine and cheese night… but we have to go through these bad times. Something positive will come, for the both of us!
