Lights by TENA Perfumery Masterclass at the Haymarket Hotel

tena light campaign

At the end of January, I went to the Lights by TENA champagne brunch and perfume masterclass at the Haymarket Hotel in London.

It’s the second TENA bloggers event I’ve been to, (I went to the Tena Lights Blogger Event at Champneys last September) and I remembered how lovely the ladies were at Myriad PR so I was so looking forward to the event!

The venue was absolutely stunning. It was held at the Haymarket Hotel in London, a short walk away from Trafalgar Square. We were greeted by the super friendly and inviting staff, and we walked down to a poolside bar to mingle before the event started. The pool and bar area is stunning – I’d have loved to take a dip in that pool!

I went with Laura (Laura’s Beauty Binge) and it was nice to see some familiar faces around the table! The table set up was gorgeous, we each had our own place and mini bouquet of flowers which were so beautifully put together. We all delved into our pastries and fruit, and our champagne was constantly being topped up so it was the best kind of Sunday breakfast!

We had a mini presentation too on TENA and their new campaign, ‘Feel Fresh Or It’s Free!’ In this campaign, TENA are offering a full money back guarantee if you happen to try a pack of Lights by TENA and don’t feel as fresh as a daisy. If you’d like to know more about the #FeelFresh campaign and how you can get involved, head to the website and read about the campaign here.

Did you know that bladder weakness is in fact more common than hay fever in the UK? Neither did I! One in three women will experience some kind of bladder weakness at some point during their lives and it’s something that us ladies are often too embarrassed to discuss – but this taboo needs to be banished! Bladder weakness is natural and very much normal; and the more awareness we can bring to the issue, the better. So get talking, ladies!

In the afternoon, we had a perfume masterclass with Emmanuelle Moeglin, founder of EPC (The Experimental Perfume Club). Emmanuelle has been a professional trained fragrance specialist for over 10 years, and has worked with the likes of L’Oreal and Paco Rabanne. The class started with us smelling 15 different scents, all of which were a variety of base notes, mid notes and top notes. We then made a note of our favourite and set about making our very own perfume! There was a fair amount of maths involved and luckily Emmanuelle was super patient and helpful in measuring all of perfumes and letting us know what scent to add to achieve our desired perfumes.

Mine had a fair amount of musk, rose and orange oil. My perfume is pretty strong smelling but, it will make the perfect summer holiday fragrance! I even called it Sandy Footprints, so fingers crossed I find myself on a beach somewhere this summer.

Don’t be afraid to talk about bladder weakness – we’re all human here!

It looks like such a great event; I don't think I'd have been able to resist getting into that pool. The name of your perfume is so cute, I bet it smells amazing!
