If you follow me on Instagram you’ll notice I tend to be playing crazy golf lately.
A fair amount.
But that’s because I love it!
And it brings out my competitive side, too.
Birdies Crazy Golf is the latest course I’ve stumbled upon. It’s situated on top of a carpark in Stratford, and is home to a 9-hole crazy golf course, outdoor cinema and various bars and eateries. We booked in to play at 8:20 and although all the evening slots were booked, it was a nice chilled environment and I didn’t feel rushed to get around the course at all.
I won’t give the whole course away, but these were my favourites out of the course! Some were challenging and I may or may not have had 3 goes at one, and then shouted that I’M STARTING AGAIN. Ahem.
Tickets cost £8/£9 and the whole venue is open until 11pm. To make sure there aren’t queues, you’re restricted to 6 shots per hole each. This wasn’t implemented too much so it’s nice to not be rushed around, but peak times would obviously be much busier.
By the time we finished the course around 9:30, it was packed with people eating and drinking, and there weren’t many spare seats. So it’s good to arrive early to nab a spot for the night!
It’s free to go to too, if you just fancied a wander round the bars and eateries. I’d love to come back again and try out the outdoor cinema before it closes for the summer.
Londons’ skyline didn’t disappoint either; every building looked beautiful lit up at night time!
Have you been to a quirky urban golf course before?
