This is one of those cool *pinch me* moments. I spent an evening with other lovely Essex bloggers at the Lee Stafford Academy in Chelmsford, Essex, with the main man himself…
You know those events where you have to pinch yourself to reassure yourself this is real life and it’s really happening? Well this was one of those. One that made me realise how much I actually do love blogging and networking with new people and enjoying new experiences.
So the lovely Emma, from Anomalous Me, arranged the entire evening at the Lee Stafford Hair & Beauty Salon and Spa in Chelmsford, Essex. The academy launched back in 2012; it holds college courses and training days for anyone of any age. The academy has a really cool urban/industrial feel, with vibrant pink elements throughout!
The evening started with canapés and wine, and Lee Stafford gave us bloggers, press and college students a speech on his brand, products, talented staff and what creating the academies will help to achieve. Lee spoke about his career and passion for the industry, and assured us that with perseverance and dedication, you can achieve what you want in life. We all had a group photo with Lee on stage too – which I’m hoping to see in the Essex Chronicle very soon!
Myself, Charlotte and Zoe were given a guided tour around the academy and were surprised by how much was packed into a seemingly small place from the outside. There are training rooms for massages and facials, hair dressing salons and nail bar rooms. We popped on some rather sassy little blue covers for our shoes and took a stroll around their spa, which has a jacuzzi, heated stone beds, sauna, shower and a wet treatment room. The spa is open for anyone to go to, and the academy can even put together a spa package to purchase!
We were all given 2 complimentary treatments during the evening, and I opted for a manicure and a hair styling appointment. It was a nice chilled atmosphere in the nail salon, I had a conditioning treatment on my hands and then had a light baby pink shade on my nails. I headed down to the salon after that and the salon just looks insane. I wish I’d got more photos! But it had a really cool urban-industrial feel with good music playing. The brick walls were exposed with LED lights throughout and tube light quotes dotted about on the walls – like Across This Page‘s instagram snap! I had 2 super lovely ladies curl my hair and used a variety of Lee Stafford’s products, including my favourite one DeHUMIDIFIER!
We were given a super generous goody bag too. I can’t wait to trial them out and get my hair feeling super swishy and salon perfect!
