Did January zoom by or WHAT? I’ve had a packed month with work and days out, I just hope the rest of the year is just as exciting…
1. Walks on Frinton Beach, Essex
We started off the New Year with a 2 mile walk on Frinton beach. It was super relaxing and peaceful, and quite a few people were out walking their dogs too. It also made me realise how flipping unfit I have become so note to self: Join the gym ASAP.
2. Fiorelli Croc-Print Bag
My rents bought me a Fiorelli bag for my birthday and I’ve worn it to death ever since. It’s lovely and comfy and has about 6 compartments to store all of my bits and pieces. It needed to replace my battered but loved Riverisland chain one.
3. My Birthday
So I turned 20! I had a chilled day then went out for dinner to TGI Fridays with my family. I had a girly day in London that week with my friend too and I’m hoping to go to a spa soon as a belated treat!
4. No7 Nail Varnish
I picked this set up in the Boxing Day sales and I’m so happy I did. It has a wide variety of shades and formulas, from red to pink and blue to grey, as well as glitter effect ones and gel topcoats. Although I can’t wear nail varnish because of my job, I’ll definitely get some use of it as the year goes on.
5. Sky Gardens, Fenchurch Street, London
I went to Sky Gardens with my friend Alice for a girly day in London. It was absolutely amazing and I blogged about it here! We also grabbed some dinner and cocktails at TGI Fridays and had a wonder around Oxford Street.
6. Lush Oxford Street Mini Haul
On our girly day, we also popped into Lush Oxford Street. I nabbed a few half price Christmas products which I’m looking forward to using!
7. My Best Friend
I’ve been friends with Alice now for about 15 years and I’m so glad we’re still friends after all these years. I miss her as she’s away at University now but I can’t wait to visit Canterbury to visit her, and check out the town!
8. Meeting Up With Uni Friends
I did a year long course last year at Harlow Uni and made some fab friends through it. We live all over the country now so we meet about once a month. This time we went for bowling and drinks at All Star Lanes. Was a fab evening and I can’t wait to see them all again soon!
9. Lumiere London Light Festival
My mum found out about Lumiere London light festival on Facebook so we headed down on the opening night. The light installations were scattered through London so we walked around to find them. I did almost 17,000 steps that evening! I blogged about the evening here!
10. Accessorize Sale
I popped into Accessorize on a whim and picked up 4 nail varnishes for less than £4! I love the colours and formula of them, so I’m definitely going to check out their makeup range soon.
11. Lush Valentines Blogger Event
I went to the Lush Chelmsford Valentines blogger event and had a fab evening. We learnt all about the new Valentines products and got to see them in action. We also made our own Valentines inspired Creamy Candy bubble bars. You can read about the evening, and see the full Valentines range, here!
12. 5th Wave & Millie’s Cookies Shakes
I went to go and see 5th Wave at the cinema with my friend and I won’t give anything away but, it was SUCH a good film! Definitely worth catching whilst its in the cinema. I read its based on a book so I’m planning on having a read of that. Also rekindled my love for Millie’s Cookies shakes… SO. FLIPPING. GOOD.
So January has treated me well!
I’ve had long hours at work but I’m glad to have squeezed this all in. I’ve also been
going to weekly pub quizzes with my work friends so lets hope we can keep that up!

I keep meaning to go to the Sky Gardens, and then forgetting about it! Now that you've reminded me yet again, I'm actually going to add it to my list!
I went for a New Year's Day walk too, on Mersea Island. Great for blowing the cobwebs away!

Definitely take a visit there some time soon! It's amazing 🙂
I LOVED THIS POST. I'm seeing so many "January Faves" types of posts, and even though I have a similar one coming soon on my blog, I've been rolling my eyes a little bit. Albeit, honestly, I love them ahahahahah. My minds works weirdly to be honest. I guess I'm just reading so many blogs, it's a bit overwhelming (also, they don't help my wallter).Anyway, like I said. I love these types of posts. I think they're so interesting. Pictures are always so important. Such a great way to remember and keep memories and I don't know. There's something about these types of posts!Love it. And seems like you have a wonderful month!Ella Pinto xx
