October has been a right emotional roller coaster. But I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to make spontaneous plans and trips, which made me realise that I really do have good friends there for me. This month has been packed with blog events and mail, eating out, ASOS deliveries, nights out and a trip to London…
1. Lush Chelmsford Halloween and Christmas Bloggers Event
At the beginning of the month I was invited to a Lush Halloween and Christmas event where we learnt about the new ranges of products and we were all kindly gifted 3 products to try! It was also a good excuse to catch up with all the lovely Essex bloggers! Already looking forward to the next one.
2. Seventeen Cosmetics Mail
Seventeen kindly sent me a pack of all their best selling products for me to try out. I was sent a contour kit, lipstick, shimmer brick, eyebrow palette and a tanning lotion! I loved them all especially the lipstick, so I’m looking forward to seeing what else they have in store. You can read my Seventeen review here.
3. Molton Brown Candles
On a recent trip to Freeport in Essex, I visited the Molton Brown store and treated myself to two candles. Freeport is an outlet so I got a good discount on the candles! My favourite has to be the Oudh and Gold one. You can read my Molton Brown Candle review here.
4. Mexican Mondays At Whetherspoons
Who knew this was a thing??? Not me! Going for lunch at Spoons after work seems to be a regular occurrence for me. With it being Mexican Monday, I went for the fully loaded nachos with pulled pork which was incredibly delicious! The right about of melted cheese, guacamole, sour cream and salsa. Mmmmm.
5. ASOS Deliveries
Thank god for ASOS Premier. With a Halloween party, day trip to London and a night out on my mind, I ordered a sh*t tonne of clothes and luckily some of it fit. I love the fact you can order up to 9pm and get next day delivery for free no matter how much you spend, plus use student discount every time AND have free returns. Loving life.
6. Appleyard London Flowers
I was kindly sent the Pumpkin Chutney bouquet from Appleyard London and boy, are they beautiful! I chose the most Autumnal looking bunch – an array of gorgeous cherry roses, cerise roses and green berries. I love them and I can’t wait to treat myself to a Christmas bouquet. Don’t forget to check out the post, there’s a discount there for you!
7. Surprise Visit From Alice Home From University
I’ve been so busy with work I haven’t been able to see my best friend who’s away at Uni, but Alice turned up on my doorstep with a card, tray of doughnuts and Wagamama vouchers – a total surprise and I definitely started crying! I know you read my blog sometimes so I just want you to know I miss you so much! And I hope I can come and visit you reeeeeeal soon.
8. Night Out With My Blogging Babe
I love how blogging has made me a real life friend, and that absolute babe goes by the name of Charlotte. We talk every day and she’s just a super lovely girl. We ordered dominoes and had one too many drinks and danced until we ended up in Mcdonalds at 2am… I’m already looking forward to our next outing! Love love love you. P.s. Send some loving her way –> www.withlovelottie.uk.
9. Lush Sparkly Pumpkin Bubblebar
I usually go for pink bubble bars/bath bombs so I went out of my comfort zone and treated myself to Sparkly Pumpkin, a bright orange-glittery bubble bar. I absolutely loved it, and the zesty scent lingered on my skin for days. I’m definitely going to stock up on this one!
10. Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, The Musical
As a treat for my Mum’s birthday, I bought tickets to go and see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in Covent Garden, London. We had a lovely girly day which started with egg and bacon sandwiches, a browse around Covent Garden, coffee and then heading to see the musical. We were sat just 5 rows from the front and the musical was just incredible. I’d definitely see it again. The oompa-lompas have to be favourite, they were so flipping funny. Mum treated me to a CATCF top and treated herself to a mug – PROPER TOURISTS.
11. TGI Fridays
We headed to Westfield in Stratford for dinner as we were super hungry. I love TGI Fridays, I’d even go so far as to say it’s my favourite restaurant, but the meal there was poor that night. Slow service, bringing out unfinished meals and just genuinely lacking any oomf. They did however give us our dessert for free, which happens to be my favourite sharing brownie dish, so that was a plus!
12. KISS Haunted House Party
Last night I went to the KISS Haunted House Party at Wembley SSE Arena. I really enjoyed doing my makeup, I opted for smokey eyes and scars/fake blood – I did get a few dodgy looks on the train during rush hour… We even had free ticket upgrades where we had our own bar and lounge which we chilled out in before the concert started. The concert was good over all, and Jason Derulo was of course my favourite!
October was pretty jam-packed considering I had no plans at the beginning of the month.
I’m looking forward to seeing what November has in store for me!
I really need to get ASOS Premier! I'm just concerned that it will trick me into being on Asos more and spending more money. Because come on, it totally will.
