Lush Chelmsford | Halloween And Christmas Event

Lush events are always so much fun! Last week I was invited to a Halloween and Christmas bloggers event at my local one in Chelmsford and had such a lovely evening with my blogging ladies, listening to christmas songs and being covered in glitter…

I struggled whittling 36 photos down for this post… Lush is just too photogenic! Kicking things off here is the Halloween range. New for this year is Nightwing, a shower jelly in the shape of a bat, retailing at £3.95. It’s packed with aloe vera and lime oil, which smelt zesty and uplifting. The Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar and Lord of Misrule bath bomb have returned for Halloween this year. I haven’t tried either, but the Lord of Misrule bath bomb was on display and the colours are so gorgeous – deep swirls of pink and green.

On to the Christmas range which I was super excited to check out. Last year I absolutely loved Golden Wonder and Magic Wand so I’m happy to see them back in the mix! The Magic of Christmas is a brand new reusable bubble bar. First of all, I love the fact that the actual stick part is cinnamon – how cute is that? The wand is packed with a spicy concoction of cinnamon, almond and orange oil. The perfect Christmassy treat.

Yog Nog returns this Christmas but in a brand new bath bomb form, packed with clove bud oil, shea & cocoa butter and ylang ylang oil. In the centre of the bath bomb are two bath melts, which when released into the water, will leave your skin soft and nourished.

Star Dust is a new Lush christmas bath bomb, in the form of a white glittery star. It’s packed with vanilla and bergamot oil and when dropped into the water, it fizzes away to turn the water baby blue and releases tiny confetti-like stars.

Cinders returns from last Christmas, with almond and cinnamon oil and an uplifting dose of sweet orange oil. I don’t think this product particularly *screams* Christmas, but I love the fact it’s got popping candy inside to give it a little twist!

Dashing Santa is one that I loved last year. It’s a bath bomb with an uplifting zesty scent which turns your bath water a bright red shade with a golden shimmer. It’s a lovely design as when it’s popped into the water it slowly fizzles away; as opposed to disappearing underneath the water!

Holly Go Lightly is a returning bubble bar packed with lime and orange oil. I love the glitter element, I was literally covered in it just from holding it! Once crumbled into the water, it turns it a gorgeous deep green glittery shade.

Bar Humbug is a new Christmas bubble bar, packed with bergamot and tarragon oil. It also includes liquorice, which I seriously hate the smell/taste of, but it doesn’t smell over powering in the bubble bar at all, and I love it! Once again, this one is doused in glitter and when crumbled into the water, turns it a deep glittery purple shade.

Candy Mountain is a returning vanilla scented bubble bar which I absolutely love. I had this last year and loved it, it turns the water a bright pink shade and smells just like Snow Fairy, which is an obvious winner.

Five Gold Rings is a brand new bubble bar this Christmas, packed with a punchy vanilla scent. I love the design of this as it reminds me of the Mother’s Day Bunch of Carrots. You can either break a ring off and crumble that, or tie them onto the tap and let the water flow over them.

Snow Angel bath melt returns this Christmas. I’ve never tried a bath melt before but I loved the rose and cocoa scent it has, and the golden shimmery glow of the water. It looks super relaxing and definitely something to pop in the bath to unwind with.

Magic of Christmas is one of three brand new glittery FUN bars for Christmas. It’s packed with ylang ylang and tangerine oil. I don’t think I’ll be trying this one out as it looks pretty similar to the FUN! What a Softy bar, i.e. leaves the water a pale lime colour and is similar in scent. Still a nice touch for Christmas though.

Butter Bear is a returning bath bomb which I. Flipping. Love. It’s cocoa scented and slowly melts into the water, releasing bubbles of cocoa butter to coat and nourish your skin. It’s a shame this is only a Christmas product, but I’ll be sure to stock up on them! Or even treat myself to the super cute Butter Bear gift set.

Santa’s Belly is a shower jelly, packed with star anise, vegan red wine and apple juice. It’s also super glittery with gold confetti-like stars. I love how quirky this product is and I’m definitely going to be buying this one!

Lush Chelmsford kindly let us have 3 free products, so I picked up the Sparkly Pumpkin, Butter Bear, Father Christmas, The Magic of Christmas and Peeping Santa! What a long post, here’s a medal if you made it right to the end!

What will you be trying from the Lush Halloween and Christmas range this year?
