September 2017: My Month in Photos

Hannatalks September 2017 in photos

September flew by and I am SO ready for Autumn and everything cosy that it brings with it!Β Here are my top Instagram moments in September! πŸ™‚

I love doing these kind of catch up posts.

It makes me stop and think “Actually… I have done quite a lot this month!”. I mean I’ve probably spent most of this month eating out and reviewing places but, why not eh?

Here are my top Instagram moments in September! πŸ™‚

Breakfast at Walkabout in Chelmsford

I really fancied trying Bill’s pancakes for breakfast one weekend but they had to stop serving early as they were so busy, so we popped into Walkabout to try their all day breakfast. It was one of my favourite English breakfasts, consisting of the staple items of egg, tomato, sausage, bacon and beans. It also came with fries and an onion fritter which was super stodgy and delicious!

Tom Mcrae at Union Chapel in London

I’ve loved Tom Mcrae’s music for years, so I was super excited to hear my Dad manage to get hold of some tickets to see him at the Union Chapel in London. The venue was incredible, an old chapel with beautiful stained glass windows and the most incredible acoustic sound. He sang some of his old classics too, which I was super happy about!

Salted Caramel Cake Recipe with Hobbycraft

I collaborated with Hobbycraft this month to create this delicious salted caramel chocolate cake. I had a fun afternoon baking it with James’s mum and it tasted super delicious, too. So chocolatey, gooey and indulgent.

Topgolf in Chigwell

I’m absolutely shocking at golf but none the less, I always have fun at Topgolf Chigwell! Even if James does win every time…

Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino

Sadly I had to have the boring soya version which looked less attractive, but my go-to Starbucks drink is always the caramel frappuccino. Sweet, cold and packs a coffee kick!

Pink Suede Jacket

I’m not one for wearing anything other than black or white, but I’m looking this pink suede jacket that I picked up in Next. It’s easy to throw on and pair with pretty much anything. I really want to get a faux leather plum jacket now… then I’ll be ready to Autumn!

Micky Flanagan at the 02 in London

I went to the 02 with James for dinner and an evening show to see Micky Flanagan. I’ve never seen him before but was so funny, I’d definitely see him again!

Lunch at Bill’s in Freeport Braintree

I was invited to Bill’s at Freeport Braintree to review the menu at their brand new branch in Essex. We had THE most delicious meal and the honeycomb & banana cheesecake is by far the best cheesecake I have had in a long, long time.

Prezzo Spaghetti with King Prawns

I don’t think I’ve ever been to Prezzo before (?!) but I really fancied some pasta. After a little scour of the menu, I chose the spaghetti with king prawns and omg, it was incredible. The pasta was soft in a delicious garlic and basil sauce, and the prawns super fresh and juicy. I can’t wait to have this again!

The Body Coach Curry Fried Rice Recipe

I’m really enjoying making meals from scratch so I followed one of The Body Coach’s recipes one weekend and made the Curry Fried Rice dish. It’s a simple combo of onions, garlic and pepper, with basmati rice and chicken strips, sprinkled with curry powder. It was quick and healthy to make, and tasted great!

Pancakes at The Breakfast Club

I met Jade in London for breakfast and we headed to The Breakfast Club at Spitalfields and omg, my new favourite restaurant ever. The fun atmosphere, super friendly staff and great decor make for a great experience. The pancakes we ordered were indulgent and seet but so, SO worth it!

Essex Bloggers Event at Layer Marney Tower

I went to the South East Bloggers event at Layer Marney tower last night and had a great time networking with Essex businesses, meeting new people and eating super delicious cake. The night was spent chatting to businesses, posing for cheesy shots in the photo booth and getting super competitive at the Garden Games stand!

I don’t have anything planned for October as of yet, apart from a trip to Oktoberfest in Chelmsford.

I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for me! πŸ™‚

Eating out and reviewing places? I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a month! It all looks so incredible too, most drawn to the spaghetti at Prezzo, all forms of pasta are definitely my kryptonite haha!

Spending most of your money on food is definitely the right way to do things haha! It equals to a lot of lovely memories and I find it a lot more fulfilling (in more ways than one!) than buying physical stuff. xx
