Real Techniques Gel Brush Cleanser is my new favourite beauty god send for tackling grimy make up brushes…
Ok so my hands are up.
I don’t wash my make up brushes anywhere NEAR enough as I should. I probably give them a good cleanse around 3 times a month… oops. When I do clean them though, I use baby shampoo: at least I used to until I discovered this beaut. The Real Techniques brush cleaner popped up on my radar on a recent shopping trip and it was one of those “I must try it” moments. It was also spurred on by the fact Superdrug were having a 3-for-2 offer on all RT products, so I bought the stippling and blusher brush and nabbed this cleanser for free as it was the cheapest item of the 3.
Although baby shampoo makes my brushes smell amazingggggg, it doesn’t give as good a cleanse as this gel-like formula. All you need to do is squeeze a small amount on to the head of the dampened brush and work it into a lather by swirling it around your palm or against something. Instantly you can see the colour running into the water. The bristles don’t feel tacky or heavily perfumed either, and the brush dries to a lovely, clean fluffy texture.
The 150ML bottle retails at just £6.99 and it says it will last a couple of months but considering how little I use it, I’m sure mine will last a lot longer!
What do you use to clean your makeup brushes?
