*NanoKeratin Befri Brush

It’s no secret to my family/friends/hairdresser that I have ridiculously thick and sometimes uncontrollably matted hair, so when I was sent the *Befri Brush, designed to tame thick and unruly hair, I thought I may have just found the solution to get rid of it.

The Befri brush is made up of Kinematic free-moving arms with 142 Flexibristles on top of them, and a vented structure underneath to allow hot air from the blow-drying process to circulate around the roots. The brush itself is really light to hold, which is a bonus as I’m fed up with having an aching arm from holding a massive paddle brush! Befri can be used on both wet and dry hair, and as mentioned above, is perfect to use with a hair dryer.

The brush claims to bring “immediate hair relief” and “conditions and strengthens your hair, leaving it healthy, shiny and full of body.” Sadly, I can’t say that I’ve noticed any of these.

I’ve been using it on wet hair just after I’ve got out of the shower, and it is noticeably harder to work through my hair than my Tangle Teezer. The positives to using it however is that it’s handy to have a handle (ha) and due to the brush having separate arms, it doesn’t feel like the bristles could snap off in my hair at any second.

I’ve also used it on dry hair a couple of times but it made my hair incredibly static. I’m not sure whether that’s down to products that I’m using but it was really hard to control and calm.

The Befri brush retails at £19.99 which is fairly expensive in my opinion, but the brush is sturdy and one of a kind.

What products do you use to control your unruly hair?

I've been looking at these recently and was really intrigued and tempted to buy one! Thank you so much for and honest review! I'll definitely be saving my pennies and sticking with my £1/£2 paddle brush from Primark!

I've never seen a brush that looks like this! I think in theory it sounds great but from the sounds of it it doesn't seem like it'd work too well on my hair xx

Wow this brush definitely looks interesting, and sounds perfect for me because since I’ve gone lighter with my hair it’s so knotty. I love that this has a handle also as it makes working through wet hair so much easier in comparison to flying Tangle Teezers hehe.

awh sucks that it didnt work that great, sounded like it had so much potential! there is nothing worse than static hair when you are trying to style it:( I really need to get my hands on a tangle teezer for my horrendously tuggy hair!

Wow I've to admi it does look like a brush which would do a huge mess with my hair than already it is
Sorry if it sounds too harsh but my hair is thick and fizzy and difficult to maintain. Although I might use some very known drug store products for my hair, I mainly use a leave on cream and apply kind of leave in oil when I feel like my hair start to be dry. I' ll do a blog post about it soon. Thanks for the review

I saw a brush similar to this recently and was intrigued by it although I know it wouldn't be right for my hair as it's super curly. I guess now I know it's not as great as it looks so at least now I know, it just looks cool haha.

This brush is so unique! I've never seen anything like it before! My hair is quite hard to manage so brushing it when wet makes it a lot easier for me. Not great to hear that it doesn't work as well as a tangle teezer when wet! My favourite brush is my Air motion pro – I couldn't be without it now!

Hmm well I can say I've never seen a brush quite like this! But, I feel your pain it's so hard to find the right brush for thick hair! Sometimes even the prized tangle teezer won't be able to brush through this hair jungle of mine. Forever searching haha

Ahh I had high hopes when I started reading this as I have really thick hair (extensions I wish it was natural, lucky you!) and it can get matted easily! Tangle Teezer is my best friend though so will stick with that! x
