Garnier express cleansers

I already have a thorough skin care routine using Clinique’s anti-blemish range, which you can read about here, but I sometimes feel too lazy to use all the products and want to find a quick alternative. I recently picked up Garnier micellar cleansing water and Garnier fresh eye makeup remover in the infamous Boots 3 for 2 range and they’ve become firm staple items in my skin care regime.

The Micellar Cleansing Water is really soothing on my skin and wipes away my makeup without leaving any harsh red patches or blotchiness. Cotton pads are the most effective to use and a couple of them clean my face completely. I love the fact the product isn’t heavily fragranced or thick, the fact it’s water makes my face feel fresher and not clogged up in the slightest. I love the formula of the product too as it means I can use it for my face, eyes and lips. The bottle is a really generous size at 400ml and for only £4.99 you can’t go wrong.

The Fresh Eye Makeup Remover was bought because I find removing makeup on my eyes to be hard going and I don’t want to damage my lashes by having to use force. I don’t particularly wear much eye makeup and it’s never heavy, but this remover soaks into the skin and I’m able to remove stubborn mascara or eyeliner in an instant. The formula is designed for sensitive skin, perfect for me as once again I am not left with sore red patches. I use either a cotton pad or ball with this product and both do the trick. You only need a tiny amount to remove stubborn makeup which is perfect for me. The bottle is a handy size to store in my toiletry bag and at £3.45 for a 125ml bottle, it’s a bargain worth having!

What new skin care products have you introduced into your regime?

I've been thinking about getting some new skincare products, I usually use face wipes (shhh don't tell!!) but I know they're not great and have been thinking about trying something new, and micellar waters have such great reviews I reckon that's what I'd go for. Great price as well and looks like it would last a while.

I saw these the other day and was about to buy them – not too sure why I didn't! I'd love to give them a try and based on your review they sound quite promising :)!

I've been thinking about buying the Micellar Cleansing Water as a kinder alternative to face wipes but I'm worried about the consistency being quite oil? I have oily skin and I don't want to use anything that will make it worse!

Make-up remover wipes (so easy and cheap) and a face brush for my cleanser (I've just started using it so I don't know if it's going to be any good).

When it comes to skincare I am AWFUL. I have no regime. I just take it all off with baby wipes and then sometimes I pop a bit of moisturiser on. This may explain my current breakout, but hey, we're not here to judge… xxx

Great review. This is good timing. I was just looking for a cleanser. I wonder if this Garnier product is already available in the Philippines.
Great post. Would you like to follow each other?

These makeup removers sound amazing. Our go-to is Chanel because it works so instantly but will have to try these. Such a good price and sounds like it's totally worth it!xx 365hangers

I wish this had been around when I was doing theatre. As soon as I got off stage I wanted that heavy makeup off! Would be fantastic on a long-haul flight, too.

I really need to test these out. We only just got the Micellar water in Australia and I use Bioderma but have been told to use this one cause cheaper. Glad you recommend (also glad I am moving to London next year so my beauty buys will be a whole lot cheaper ha)!

I was umming and arring about whether to buy the cleansing water in Boots the other day but I had never seen it reviewed. Now you've given me the confirmation I need to go ahead and buy it, thank you.
