*4 Overnight Products You Should be Using!

Nowadays, we are busier than ever in our day to day lives. Juggling a career, social life and various other commitments means it is vital that we look after our wellbeing first and for most. When it comes to beauty sleep, how many hours do you really get in every night? Sleep plays an essential role in helping our skin care regime, a time where it heals and repairs itself. If you’re not getting those 8 hours+ sleep, your skin will suffer the consequences!

Carly Woods from HSN America has put together a fantastic 4 step plan that can help you to create an effective skin care regime. There are products that can aid your skin’s renewal process. The majority of these products are heavy and of a thick consistency. This makes washing your face in the mornings as important as doing it at night time – heavy products need to be eliminated to prevent skin from being congested. Read on to find our her top tips!

First, I always recommend using a serum. Facial serums are used to address specific problems such as wrinkles, ageing and brightness. Apply a few drops to clean skin and using your hands press the serum into your skin.

Especially in the colder months, you want to follow step one with a layer of oil for added hydration. Plus, you will wake up with beautiful and plump skin.

Lastly, simply apply a moisturiser. My advice is to opt for a comforting and hydrating formula. I like to see it as a blanket; keeping in the goodness of the serum and oil.

Don’t forget an eye cream! Try to use a powerful wrinkle reducing formula. Make sure you always use a very tiny amount; overloading the skin around the eyes with too much of a heavy product can cause puffiness and sometimes breakouts.

For me, face masks and drinking green tea play a massive part in my skin care regime. There are so many different varieties of green tea out there now that there’s something for everyone. I’d suggest trying plain green tea and progressing onto new flavours, the taste isn’t the best but it reaps in benefits. As for face masks, there are fresh ones, mud packs, peel off, warm masks and the list goes on! Look after you and your skin ladies!

What would your face say about your current night time routine?

I really love green tea, but don't drink it that much anymore. I honestly didn't know there was a connection to your skin. I think I need to start upping my intake again!
