You Beauty Discovery box – January edition

So I bit the bullet and subscribed to You Beauty Discovery – a monthly subscription at £6.95 per month. Simply choose 2 of the 7 products shortlisted that month and receive your box with some extra goodies! You can check out their website here.

Inside: The organic pharmacy face mask, sanctuary spa reverse body resurface & refine ultra polish, age defy moisturiser, BBQ popchips

So after much deliberation, I settled with The Organic Pharmacy Face Mask and Sanctuary Spa Reverse Body Resurface & Refine Ultra Polish. I chose these products because I particularly want to target my skin and as I have no sort of skin care regime as of yet – hopefully testing these brands will lead me in the right direction!

The Organic Pharmacy Face Mask

I have the honey and jasmine mask which retails at £35.99 for a 40ml tube, which you can purchase at any good department stores. This face mask includes the ingredients: Rose hip, Shea butter, honey, jasmine and aloe just to name a few! I was quite excited to try out this product because the texture is quite creamy and smelt so good. I applied the face mask to my skin fairly liberally and massaged it into my skin; I mainly targeted the t-zone area as this is the area I personally want to improve. After 10-15 mins I removed the product using warm water – it advises you to use a muslin cloth – and my skin felt incredible after. My skin feels smooth and so revived. I would recommend leaving the product on for a bit longer and massaging it throughout the 10-15 mins to really work it into the skin. Definitely considering purchasing this!

Sanctuary Spa Reverse Body Resurface & Refine Ultra Polish

I was looking forward to using this product because I am a big fan of Sanctuary Spa products, they all smell so incredibly good and leave my skin so soft! This product retails at £12.00 for a 200ml tube and is available in Boots. The ingredients included are citrus based but it has such a fresh smell that isn’t over powering at all! This polish was voted Best Body Polish in Harper’s Bazaar Beauty Hot 100 – all the more reason to try it!! I have fairly rough elbows and stubborn dry skin and this products claims that you can achieve “radiant looking skin in an instant with our most powerful scrub”. The big difference I noticed with the product was the texture; the particles are extremely fine as opposed to other scrubs currently on the market and this made it a lot less painful.. To apply this product, you simply massage into damp skin in a circular motion and then rinse – simple! I have used this product a couple times and I have noticed that my skin is beginning to feel much softer – Amazing product once again Sanctuary Spa!

Can’t wait to find out what Februarys products will be! Are you guys subscribed with a similar subscription? Can you recommend any products to put together a skin regime? Let me know 🙂

Hope you have a fab weekend!

Hannah

I've never heard of this beauty box before but I love the idea of being able to pick what you want as the not knowing what you're going to get with glossybox, birchbox etc has always put me off, I really love the sound of the Sanctuary Polish, may have to pick it up from Boots next time I'm in x

I did a post on this month's youbeauty box too! I love how cheap it is compared to other beauty boxes and that we can choose which products we'll receive, less chance of being disappointed then! 🙂

Not bad, these contents! I used to be subscribed to the Belgian Deauty box, but then I moved abroad and cancelled it. At the moment I'm not getting any beauty boxes anymore.
